At DALI we have three digital arts roles: 3D Modeling, Animation, and Graphics. If you are applying to multiple design roles, be sure to complete the design challenges for each role.

Below you’ll find this term’s design challenge. We suggest you put in 8-15 hours of work on this challenge over the course of one week, to best simulate the sprint style of working at DALI.

Show your notes, thoughts, sketches, and research that you created along the way.

• Your work should reflect your creativity, craft, and critical thinking.
• Think about unique ways to bring personality to your work.
• These experiences must have a digital component to the solution - but don't necessarily have to be only digital in nature. We also welcome any traditional art media you want to highlight as part of your portfolio or design process!

The design prompts this cycle are all centered around the theme of "Tech-Organic Fusion.”

Create something that feels like technology and nature have been woven together. Let the digital and the organic inform each other in surprising ways—whether that’s an machine that blossoms, a mythical creature that runs on code, or an environment where data flows like water. You are free to decide the scale, the medium, and the narrative. The only rule is: the result should make the viewer pause and wonder how the two worlds could coexist.
