The Problem:
<aside> 💡 Mental health at Dartmouth lacks a positive and accessible discussion space. While Dick’s house functions as a resource for mental health at Dartmouth, students find it difficult to openly discuss their issues with peers who can offer support and guidance.

The Solution:
<aside> 💡 Unmasked is an anonymous, mental health peer support mobile application for Dartmouth students. In this virtual space, students can discuss issues surrounding mental health, share their struggles, and receive support from their fellow students. On the app, everyone is anonymous in order to create a comfortable horizontal power dynamic. Unmasked fosters discussion through message boards, as well as channels for private messages between peers. It also includes a list of resources, such as emergency hotlines and Dartmouth-specific resources.

The Impact:
<aside> 💡 Unmasked hopes to improve the well being of students at Dartmouth by giving them an outlet to talk to others who might be going through similar things or have more experience with issues they struggle with. By connecting these people, Unmasked will help facilitate more discussions about mental health on campus.
