This problem has massive social consequences and plays a big role in gender equity in the workplace, as witnessed by the fact that 74% of women leaving the workforce today cite the lack of decent childcare options as the primary reason why.

The Solution:

<aside> 🖊️ Lief solves the childcare undersupply crisis by leveraging the efficiencies of shared care and technology to match like-minded families and place quality, trained providers in the home. Lief starts with a software platform that matches parents with similar childcare needs in groups of 3 using a matching algorithm. These parents then have the chance to confirm these groups, after which a nanny will be matched to them for future care. Lief is currently in the process of launching a pilot in Portland, Maine for 15 children and 5-7 providers.
