The Problem:

Currently, there are very few tools to concretely measure progress, which promotes feelings of gender dysphoria in voice trainees and makes them feel like they're making no progress, even when they are.

The Solution:

<aside> 💡 TonePhoria is a voice training app that trains users on gendered linguistic features like pitch, intonation, resonance, etc. The app provide visual, real-time feedback for not only single syllables, but chunks of speech, in user-friendly way. As of now, TonePhoria targets English speakers with a standard American accent; however, our long-term goal is to target not only people with different accents, but also those who speak different languages.
